Our little family pics

Of course we took a ton of pictures of us, and Etta, here they are:
This is my favorite:
Can you see the difference between the top picture and this one?
They are in fact the exact same picture. I just Photoshopped a happy Etta in place of the crying one, although, the crying one is still pretty cute!
This next one is a close second, for my favorites. In this one I actually moved my self closer to Justin, and had to put my hand on the front leg instead of the back. (these are actually slightly different pictures, just a few seconds apart but you can see how I was actually standing below)
This one didn't turn out the way I wanted, (I didn't look at it through the camera, and people were wanting to leave... so we were a bit rushed, oh well)
This was just a funny picture after Etta had a brief stop, I actually really like it.
For some reason this keeps coming in sideways,
but I really love the picture so I am blogging it for my future reference! SO there!
These were actually just test shots of locations,
I really like this one of Justin.
And the other one is okay, it is mostly just fun to have a matching pair.
Justin took this first picture, and I LOVE it! Sweet.
The rest are just cute, you gotta love her little expressions.

Family Picture Time

saturday, september 12, 09

Justin's sister Melissa decided to join in the surprise. She came down late Friday night from Boise with her brand new baby Sam and husband Garrett. This made for the perfect opportunity to take family pictures.

Justin and I had brought our camera (obviously...) and a tripod and we took them. I am feeling rather proud... Here they are.
The Whole Gang:
This top one is my favorite.
I erased a house or two and truck out of it.

Just the Originals:
The Grand kids and Grandparents:

Fresh Air

saturday september 12, 09

Justin, Greg, Josh and Nate had an early start Saturday morning. 5:00 AM, to be exact. What an unhappy hour.. yet they still started on a hike. 5:00 is early any day, but it also came the night after we played games late. Then, after the games, at about 11:30 when Josh was driving home he got a flat tire... So, Justin only got about 5 hours of sleep, poor guy. But he was so happy to be in the mountains that I don't think he cared. I am a little jealous. IT would have been fun, (when fully rested) but it really wouldn't have worked out to go, maybe next time...

Here are his pictures.

Sacred Ground

thursday september 10 ,09
We drove by the Draper temple so we could get some nice pictures. It is such a beautiful temple, it reminds me of ancient Egyptian architecture. (I am not sure it should, it just does) Enjoy the pics. Please do not use them without my permission.

Let's go fly a kite!

Up to the highest height!
monday september 7, 09

We surprised Justin's brother Greg on Monday. They had no idea we were in Utah. (We had to get all tricky and scout out what they were doing that day. Thanks Missa and Heidi, luckily they were staying home!)

Shirley's parent's were in town. Her dad has a really cool remote control jet that we went to fly in the park, along with some kites. I have never been kite flying-- hey give me a break, I was the 7th child, they had all been there, done that by the time I got to earth.

Did I mention we took about a million pictures on this trip?

(wait, don't we always?...um, don't answer that)

Forgive, me for the nose picking picture, the kid is just too cute for words!
I think I took a million pictures of just "Socky" alone!

Here we are on the way to the park.

Jet time.
This thing was seriously cool. Justin will have to make one someday, we should get the plans... Anyway, not only did we fly it, but Shirley's Dad had a camera that attached to the jet, then we went home and watched the footage, it was really neat. The little boys ran back and forth while it flew around doing tricks, flips, and rolls. Wouldn't this be a fun Daddy/son project?
(we'll have to work on the son part, humph...)

Then it was time to play in the park, the slides were a hit
as well and the water spigot and sandy volley ball courts... as shown below.
We went back and Etta practiced smiling, which is surprisingly hard to catch on film.
The smiling officially started happening Wednesday September 2nd, and everyday since! Yea!
